This painting is inspired by a photo that I took when driving through the San Bernardino pass in Switzerland, just before its closing for the winter.
The nature was a mix of beautiful autumn colors of deep green and brown, and the mountains had been just lightly touched by the new snow. It was such a beautiful day and I've been thinking of it ever since, so I decided to paint it - my way. With a lighter texture "in the sky" and deeper and rougher texture of the mountains showing the snow mixing with the rocks. At the bottom was a beautiful darker blue lake, shimmering in the sun. 
It was a new challenge for me to paint something different, but challenges are good to improve and discover new things.  I started the painting in 23rd of September 2025 and finished it on the 30th of January 2026, my most detailed painting. 
 
70x90cm on cotton canvas. Acrylic paint mixed with acrylic gel.
